750 MG. OF CALCIUM DAILY IS IDEAL

Great sources of calcium include 1/4 cup of raisins, dates, prunes or other dried fruit.  Dried fruit is packed with boron, a mineral that helps calcium latch onto bone tissue.  Other top sources of the mineral include hazelnuts, almonds and avocados.
Canned fish such as sardines and canned salmon.
Cabbage, broccoli, kale, bok choy, mustard and turnip greens,
Dairy includes milk, yogurt and cheese.  Opt for low-impact exercise.  Tai chi, walking, or swimming.

Prevent Arthritis

Lose 3 pounds a year.
Take up bicycling to repair cartilage.
Take 1 g. of fish oil daily (or eating 18 oz. of fish weekly).
Snack on sunflower seeds.  They are a great source of selenium.

Fall Allergy relief

Reduce sensitivity with walnuts.
Find perilla oil capsules in your health-food store; follow the package directions for dosage.
Stop symptoms with a natural saline spray or neti pot flush.

Mushrooms

Mushrooms add years to your life.
Prevents cancer by controlling estrogen.
Shed pounds.  Sub a 4-oz. portobello mushroom for a 4-oz. grilled hamburger - and you could lose 10 pounds in eight weeks without changing your eating habits in any other way.
Mushrooms are packed with appetite-taming fiber, selenium and copper - plus, they contain polysaccharides, a type of carbohydrate that stabilizes blood sugar, preventing diet-sabotaging cravings.
Mushrooms rev up immune cells and fend off viruses such as those that cause colds and the flu.
Mushrooms keep your heart healthy by cutting cholesterol.
White button mushrooms.
Enokis have a delicate fruity falvor; serve raw in sandwiches and salads, or add to soups and cooked dishes at the last moment.
Maitakes (aka hen of the woods) have a rich, woody taste and a meaty texture; try them sauteed in butter or in place of button mushrooms.
Portobellos are meaty and large, making them perfect for grilling or roasting.
Shitakes have the eartiness of wild mushrooms and work well in stir-fries, soups and side dishes.

Eliminate Wheat

Today's farmers grow a newfangled variety of wheat "that produces super-size crops."  It also produces super-size waistelines.  Modern wheat raises blood sugar more than table sugar does - which inevitably leads to weight gain.  Wheat has a bigger impact on fat storage than any other ingredient.
Foods include bread, pasta, products that include starches, emulsifiers, and leavening agents.  Granola, processed meat, seasoning mixes, chewing gum and tortilla chips.

Cutting wheat could cure your arthritis, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, acne, tummy troubles, weight gain problems.

Allow yourself the freedom to make mistakes.

Monday was a "foggy" day.  I was so tense.  Took xanax.  That makes me foggy and sleepy.  And it does help me calm down a bit, when I want to jump out of my own skin.  In the morning, I went to the Sprint store.  The guy said to use the alcohol, Isopropyl.  He said instead of just Q-tips, to really soak a rag in it.  I have been too foggy to actually try it yet.

Dad and I did go to Pleasanton and visited with Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel.  Then we all went out to lunch at Red Robins.  Great restaurant.  We shared Prime Rib Dip Sandwiches.  A bit pricy at $14.00 I thought.  But they were really good.

Had a hard time keeping my eyes open driving home.  Slept on and off for the five hours.  Very hesitant about trying to clean the cell phone screen.

1:00pm
Interesting.  Went to Dale's Hardware and bought WD-40 No-Mess Pen.  It worked pretty well on my cell phone screen.  About 98% better.  Then Suddenly - I peeled off "another" layer of protective covering.  Not sure what that was about.  So, now I have put on a "regular" protective screen covering.  My phone was acting up - so I deleted all of my tweets.  No problem.  Phone seems to be working better again.  Let's all (me) take a big sigh of relief.  Life is good again.  Smile.

Challenges make you smarter and stronger.

Saturday night, I placed a screen protector on my new cell phone.  It needed 24 hours to dry.  Sunday night, I tried it.  It was so thick, I could barely see my screen.  Removed the screen protector.  The entire screen now has a completely stickiness.  Googled an answer.  Recommended "Goof Off Miracle Remover".  Called Walgreens.  Yes, we have it.  It was about 9:00pm.  Ran straight to Walgreens.  The do NOT have it.  Can you believe that I am still boiling about this at 8:00am Monday morning.  I'm a nut case.  Why not just tell me no in the first place.  Why tell me yes.  I must be extremely hormonal right now.  Why else would something so teensy set me off so highly.  Good thing I'm not a guy.  I would probably put my fist through a wall out of frustration.  This is totally irrational.  Yea, yea, I know.  Exercise and Release Frustration.  yea yea..... nooooooooo.  hehe  don't forget, I am lazy.  Frustration and lazy - not a good combination.  I'll call a few more stores this morning.  If no one carries it, I have found it on Amazon, but it would take a few days to get here.  I think I'm more concerned that it may not actually work.  I just want to play with my new cell phone, but it is so sticky, there is no way.  That's probably the part that is making me craziest.  I think this may all come from me being way too spoiled.  I did to settle down and grow up.  uhh, no.  That is a lot like exercise right??  Oh gosh, I'm an out of control nut case today.  I feel hormonally waaayyyyy out of balance.  Good luck to me.  Smile.

SPROUTING WITHOUT RINSING

Went to the health food store yesterday and bought a glass jar and organic seeds to make sprouts.  Have been online reading websites like "30 Bananas a Day"; SeedsofSustainability.org; EcoVillages; InterdependentProject.org; Raw-Food-Freedom.net; GreenFireFoundation.org.

Reading about sprouting, without having to rinse.
1.  Soak 1 to 2 tbsp. seeds in wide mouth glass jar for 8 hours
2.  Rinse
3.  Drain
4.  Bag sprouts in poplin/or muslin - or similar material bag for 2 days
Pour sprouts into pillow case to get rid of extra moisture.
From pillow case, pour sprouts into muslin or poplin bag (SeedsofSustainability.org community network)
Pull top of bag somewhat tightly around seeds.
Use large twist-tie.
Twine or hemp string. Tie simple double knot - (like tying a shoe).
Every few inches on remaining material, loop string around and through itself, to hold up top of bag.
Place plastic bag with holes (greenhouse) - over cloth bag.
If in an area, with a lot of air flow - leave damper
Less air flow - leave on dryer side
If sprouts too dry - use less holes and smaller holes.
If sprouts mildew or sour - use larger holes (give it more air flow).
Hang bag anywhere - in a hole in the ground; in a closet, bedroom, bus-van, boat, car, laundry-room, etc.

Also, reading Ruth Heidrich, Ph.D., "The Vegan Chef Cook/Rawbook:

Went back to Starbucks, and was able to watch the whole 25-minute Barbra Streisand video.  Beautiful!  That can keep me happy for a Very Long Time!

Saturday, dad, Luigi and I went to the dog park.  One of our best visits.  Lots of fun people and fun dogs.

This morning we are going to see the new Woody Allen movie, "Midnight in Paris".

You shine!

Yesterday, I went back to Starbucks.  Good News is that I finally got the 25-minute Barbra Streisand Video to play.  Unfortunately, it stopped half-way through, and would not allow me to log on again.  Too bad, but I really did LOVE the half that I watched.  It is only there for one week.  Think I will go back in a day or two, and try one more time.  Barbra is one person that really makes me mega-happy.

Dream. Plan. Hope. Achieve!

Had a great time at lunch yesterday with the family.  My favorite part was, we arrived early.  Dad stayed in the car and I went and talked with Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel.  The subject of what I will do when I am all alone came up.  Dad will never let me tell him.  He doesn't want to hear it.  He wants me to stay "all alone" in Hayward.  That is such not a good idea.  Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel were so thrilled to hear that I want to get a Class B van and travel to all 50 states, and even to visit other countries.  They immediately totally "got" what I was saying.  They even encouraged me to get a brand new Class B and start out "Fresh"!  I love those two so much.  I don't know what I would do without them.  I always feel so alone, and they really do listen, love and care about me.  I really felt blessed that somebody "heard" me today.  And supported me.  I really needed that.

When Auntie Isabel packed up "Six" cookies to take home with her from the buffet, I was laughing so hard - and so were the two tables near us.  She is so cute.  And Uncle Joe, with all of his jokes to the poor waitress.  These two really do keep me laughing all the time.

You're better than good enough. You're great!

Sadie and Luigi were so much fun together yesterday.  We had Sadie here all day.  Lots of company and and lots of laughs.  Of course, I was very happy to relax after she had gone home.  You have to watch them every second to avoid "accidents".  lol

This afternoon dad and I are meeting Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel at Hometown Buffet at Southland for lunch.  All four of us really enjoy this restaurant.

Yesterday, I went to Starbucks with my new cell phone to watch the Starbucks video of Barbra Streisand.  Spent one hour trying to create a Starbucks account on my cell phone.  This morning I will go on my computer and see if I can get it created and hopefully, tomorrow, go back to Starbucks and try again.  Just something fun to do.  (What an exciting life I have these days!)

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

It's okay to make yourself happy, too!

Today is going to be a fun day.  Bill and Carol are going to the Monterey Aquarium and dad and I get to watch Sadie all day while they are gone.  We can bring her here, and take her home as much as we want.  It's always so much fun when Sadie and Luigi are together.

Dad has been really hurting.  This morning he got up at 3:00am, it's now 8:00am - and he has taken one Norco pain pill, and five shots of Duggan's Irish cream.  He still looks pretty crooked, but he is feeling "H A P P Y".  tee hee  I love that!

Duggan's is on sale this week at Rite-Aid.  I am definitely going to run over there and buy another big bottle for him.

Sheesh!  I just typed a long paragraph - and it disappeared!  This happens to me all the time!  This new laptop is driving me crazy.

Going to run over to Starbucks.  Barbra Streisand came out with a new CD yesterday.  Yes!  I pre-bought a copy through Barbra's website.  And Yes!  I bought another copy which includes a DVD through QVC.  Starbucks has a wi-fi this week of a Barbra video.  Also, it will be great to practice my wif-fi with my new cell phone.  I have spent two days, first inputting all of my contacts into Yahoo, with only spotty result.  Finally, I succumbed, and input all of my contacts into Google, because my cell phone is Google-compatible.  It will definitely be worth it.

I'm going to try a make a chocolate pudding pop.
(Didn't love them.  Plus, they are a pain to clean afterwards.  But, it was still fun to experiment!)

You make things better just by being you!

Monday we had a fun Family Day.  Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel came to our house for a couple hours and then we went to lunch at Acapulco's Taqueria on West A Street in Hayward.

Dad and I have learned to use our back-up button and our Favorites button on our Comcast DVR Remote Control.  Spent time on the phone with Comcast.  It took three separate calls and Agents, to finally fine someone who could actually help us.  Success!

I'm still trying to figure out how to get all of my Yahoo Contacts to sync with my new Android cell phone.  Some do.  Some don't.  This should keep me busy for quite a while.

Lunch with Cousin Roseanna Candelario

Roseanna Candelario, Ray Magorno, Mary Baca
 Roseanna and Ray
 Angelo Magurno and Roseanna
 Rocky Candelario
 Ronda Candelario
 Roy Candelario Jr.
Tony Magurno

Here's a few pictures from our lunch today with our Candelario family.  Roseanna, Mary and Angelo's father, Dominic (LOVED HIM!) is my dad's father (Fred's) brother.  Though their name is/was Magurno and we are Magorno.  I think Magurno is probably the real spelling, but there is a lot of confusion, and no real answers how Fred's 9 children are Magorno's.

We had homemade cavatities, garlic bread.  Just a great spread.  Lots of fun.  We had a great day.  Lots of adorable grand children everywhere.

Sunday, August 21, 2011

Why waste energy on worry when you can spend it on your dreams?

Dad and I are going to his cousin Roseanna's this afternoon and have dinner with the family.  She has seven grown children.  Not sure how many will be there today.  Should be a good time.

Have been trying to learn how to use this new cell phone.  What a pain in the neck.  Yes, of course, I will read all of the manuals - but why do they have to make everything more complicated than they need to be.  Sheesh.  I sure wish I were a more patient person.  But, it will be a good project.  Right!?

Spongebob singing Tiny Tim

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKBz5VonAXg

Dad's first night using valium went great.  9:00am he was still "relaxing" in bed.  Usually, he is up all night and gets up about 5:00am.

We took Luigi to the dog park.  I found over 12 tennis balls there and had to throw them all over the fence.  He wants to fight other dogs over "his" ball.  Eventually, he started running and playing with the other dogs and we had a great time.

I've been going to the jacuzzi and pool almost every night.  It has been so quiet and peaceful.  Really, really enjoying it.

Friday, August 19, 2011

You deserve every happiness there is.

We are going to lunch at Acapulco's Mexican Restaurant in Alameda today with Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel.  We are having lunch with Nick and Louise.

8:00pm
Guess What!  Acapulco's is closed.  Permanently.  It has been sold.

First, dad thought we were going to Nick and Louise's first.  We spent an extra hour traveling.  Pulled up to their house.  Drove off.  Went to Acapulco's.  Then had to find another place to eat.  Ate at Applebee's at the mall in Alameda.  Had a fun time, but everyone was exhausted.  Lots of confusion.  Finally, made it over to Nick and Louise's.  Nick danced, cried and is basically losing it big time.  Of course, we all had a good time.  But, we were all so tired.

Finally made it home.  Dad and I ran to Walgreen's and picked up his new Valium prescription to help him sleep every other night that he does not take his sleeping pill.

Good News!  My Replacement Virgin Mobile Cell Phone Has Arrived!  I called and Activated it.  I am waiting patiently for four hours while it sets itself.  I hate waiting.  Am trying to keep myself busy.

Bill and Sadie are here.  VERY LOUD!  Oiy!

Think I will run down to the jacuzzi and relax a bit.

So glad that I have my blog.

Hope works.

Last night I went for my nightly jacuzzi and swim and cleared my head.  I got home just before the phones closed for Virgin Mobile.  We got my Rumor Touch turned back on.  The Replacement Department was already closed for the night.  First thing this morning, I called back, and we have arranged for a replacement for the LG Optimus V.  I took 1/2 xanax last night to calm down and I slept through the whole night.  I love that.  Usually, I am up most of the night.  I'm so glad that I called them back.  I was upset because the last operator I had talked to, said he was referring my call to "Headquarters" and they might not call back for three days.  He left me with NO  phone at all.  Pretty silly.  I was so upset, I couldn't think clearly at first.  During my swim, I calmed down, and realized I needed to call Them back and Tell Them what "I" wanted.  Things went so smoothly from there.  I usallly live so quietly inside of myself, no one ever knows "My" wants or needs.  Wish I could speak up.  People often can help you, if they just know what you are thinking.

Today, Uncle Joe has two doctor visits with the Veterans in Livermore.  This afternoon, dad and I will meet Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel at Shari's Restaurant in Livermore for lunch.  Should be a fun day.

Oh, yes!  The Best part of yesterday,  I went to the movies while Luigi was getting groomed.  Saw "Glee" in 3D.  Love this.  It was a music concert.  Of course, I cried like a baby when the gal was singing Barbra Streisand songs, and they said that Barbra was actually at the concert.

The regular gal did not show up to groom Luigi.  Late last night, when my phone got turned back on, there was a message telling me to reschedule Luigi's appointment.  Thankfully, because I had no phone connection - and there was no one there, because I actually dropped off Luigi a little early - another guy did groom Luigi.  Both dad and I liked the cut better.  We'll ask for this guy, Ethan, and hopefully he will be available next time.  You never really know.

Luigi gets better and better every day.  He is no longer running out to the street barking and biting as people walk by.  This is so much better.  Even when people come to the house.  He gets excited, but he is not biting them.  I am SO HAPPY!
He has even let a few people pet him recently.  This is brand new.  They are only getting about one pet in, but he patiently lets them do it - then he leaves.  Every day - better and better.  SMILE!

You're good at so many things!

4:00am
Called Virgin Mobile first thing this morning and activated my new LG Optimus V cell phone.  It went well.  Have to wait up to four hours for everything to work on the phone.  This morning I am taking Luigi in to get groomed.  I am thinking of grabbing another quick movie while he is there.

Last night, I fixed delicious grass-fed cheeseburgers for dinner.  So delicious.

6:00pm
Pretty much not happy.  Have been on the phone several times with Virgin Mobile.  They cannot activate my new cell phone.  They have now routed it to "Headquarters" and they say it may be three days before anyone even contacts me.  Honestly, does this nonsense happen to everyone.  It sure happens to me on a regular basis.

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

You will beat the odds.

Hopefully, this morning, Federal Express will have my new cell phone.  They are closed Sunday and Monday, and I have been waiting patiently for them to open at 10:00am this morning.  No guarantee they will actually have my package at their office, but.... I am optimistic!

Perhaps, I will even slip in a movie today.  I feel like this is a free day, and that I can do anything.  Feeling good.

Cheri told me that the training Brendon will do for the Army in Texas, is Intelligence Training, not the Rangers.  I think he will be in Texas for quite a while.

8:00pm
Today, I went to the movies and saw "The Help".  Really good movie.
Picked up my new Virgin Mobile telephone from the Federal Express office.  Very exciting!

Ever since I got my new laptop, the pointer always jumps around when I am typing.  I finally took the time and found the fix.  Whew!  I think it is actually working.  I have typed this entire paragrah - no jumping!  Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I am Very Happy!
I'm also a very fast typer and this has been driving me crazy.  I'll probably write longer blogs.  lol  (Nobody wants that!)  :-)

You have potential beyond measure.

Cheri and Skipper joining the family at Harry's Hofbrau in Livermore Saturday.   Lots of Fun!

We had a nice, quiet Sunday.

Today, Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel are coming to our house.  We are going to lunch at Denny's and then go to Target.  Beautiful day.

Sunday, August 14, 2011

Every day is filled with small miracles.

Saturday Skip, Cheri, dad and I went to Pleasanton to Uncle Joe's and Auntie Isabel's.  Of course, we had drinks and fun foods to eat.  Then off we went to Livermore at The Carvery at Harry's Hofbrau.  Wish I had the words for how much fun we had.  I did take a couple of pictures.

We came home and took our two-hour naps.  Then had fun, nibbling and working with the computers.  About a year or more ago, I bought a scanner and scanned all 800 pictures from our photo albums.  Now we have the pictures in all of our laptop computers and on SD cards.  Also, Cheri taught me how to crop and edit the pictures so that we can display them on slideshow either on the computer or an electronic picture frame.

I always forget that Federal Express will not deliver to my post office box.  So Tuesday I will drive into San Leandro, and pick-up my new cell phone directly from the Federal Express office.

Sure going to miss Skip and Cheri.  They are going back to Barstow 9:00am Sunday morning.

Saturday, August 13, 2011

You are amazing!  Really!

Having such a great time with Skipper and Cheri here.  Cheri and I ran to the Fremont library and got her a library card.  Now we can go online and download electronic library books.  Then to Lucky's for lots of fun foods.  Salami, pepper jack cheese.  Also, a pepper-jack cheeseball.  Sour-dough bread.  A german-chocolate cake.  Chips.  We played on the computer all day.  Bill and Sadie came over.  8:00pm we all went shopping at Radio Shack, then to Walmart.  We bought "Simply Saline".  It is supposed to help our ears.  Can't wait for relief.  Very excited.  Then we went through the drive-thru at In-n-Out hamburgers and came home and ate.  I know this sounds strange, but.... this may be one of the first times dad and I have been out on Friday night in five years!  It really felt good.  And it is a full moon and a gorgeous summer evening.  Really perfect.

Today, we are all going to Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel's house in Pleasanton for drinks and goodies and then out to lunch.  I'll bring my camera with me.

Friday, August 12, 2011

Everyone needs a break now and then. Take one!

We had such a great night with Skipper and Cheri.  I always love when they come spend time with us.  I really looking forward to this weekend.  I am very happy.

We also had the best lunch yesterday at Vasiliki's.

Cheri was showing me how Pandora works on her cell phone.  I'm so excited.  Can't wait to get my new Android LG Optimus V cell phone from Virgin Mobile.  Wish it would come this weekend while they are here - which means, of course, it will arrive next week.  lol

Brendon Graduates Army Language School

Monterey, California.  Brendon is graduating from Language School for the Army this morning.  He learned Pashto (?) which I think is sort of Afghanistan/Iraq.  Then he is going to Texas for more training, possibly a Ranger.  I forget exactly.  Skipper and Cheri are going to the graduation and then they will come here and stay through the weekend.

This morning our cleaning ladies come.  Today, Auntie Isabel gets her hair done here in Hayward.  When she is done, the four of us are going to lunch at Vasiliki's.  This should be a long, fun, weekend.

Had a setback? You'll soon be back on track!

This morning I went to the movies and saw "Friends With Benefits" with Justin Timberlake.  Cute movie.

Tuesday, August 9, 2011

Life will bring you new reasons to smile.

We took dad to physical therapy this morning.  He had a one hour appointment, there was lots of confusion at the desk, and he finally received thirty minutes.  Then off we went to El Rancho and had delicious tri-tip sandwiches.  Brought half home, so it will be tasty tonight.  Then I went shopping and bought watermelon, strawberries and grapes.  Good munchies.  I did stop by the Hayward Sulpher Springs Nature Center.  Pretty quiet today.

Monday, August 8, 2011

You've got so much going for you!

Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel came to our house today.  Then we all went out for lunch in Union City to Bawldy's Cafe.  We had so much fun.  Hours go by so quickly.  We truly are blessed.  Great Day.

Happiness is yours to choose!

Today

Yesterday, went to the Fremont Art and Wine Festival.  Largest one this side of the Mississippi.  Lots of fun.  So many creative people and ideas.  These pirates and their pirate ship caught my attention.  They were so totally different from everything else.  I think that's what attracted me most to them.

Dad and I went to the movies this morning and saw Outlaws and Aliens.  Just another sci-fi movie.  I like cowboy movies better.  We did have a fun day today though.  Also, Luigi ate better today than he has in two weeks.  That makes me also feel much better.  I like when everybody is happy and healthy!

Happiness can happen anytime!

These are pictures we took yesterday morning with Skipper, Dad, Luigi and I.  We had a really nice time together.  Wish we could be together more often.

It's always a good time to dream a new dream!

Had a really good visit with Skipper.  He left early at 8:30am.  Dad went to exercise.  I did a little running around.  Mostly quiet day.  I was reading up on cell phones.  I want to stay with Virgin Mobile for now.  I have gone online and ordered the "LG Optimas V".   Really excited about getting to play with "apps".  Especially, want to use an app for Geocaching.  Also, want to be able to take and download pictures from the camera.  For right now, it should be a lot of fun and amusing.  Really, just something to keep me busy.  Really, I have tons of things to do, but...  I do LOVE gadgets.  lol  Yea!  So, I'm really, really excited.  New Toy!

Thursday, August 4, 2011

No one is more lovable than you are!

We had the Best day at Uncle Joe's and Auntie Isabel.  Then we all went to lunch at McDonald's.  Skipper is coming about 11:00pm tonight.  Then in the morning he will go pick up a "body".  He works for the mortuary in Barstow.  Interesting timing, seeing how Brendon is graduating from Language School for the Army in Monterey, CA on August 11th and Skipper and Cheri will come for the graduation and then spend four days with us.  Very exciting.  Can't wait.

The power of your smile!

Summer is rushing by here.  This has been a very mild summer here, even though they say 92% of the country has had heat waves for over a month.  This afternoon Clark's Pest Control is coming back with our technician and the manager.  It's all a big deal, not worth going into, but hopefully, we will all be happy again this afternoon.  Dad's blood tests results came back.  Everything looks really good.  He is consistently a wee bit low on his iron, not too bad, and he will continue taking an iron tablet each day.  Is my life too exciting or what!  lol  I probably have the easiest life of anybody on this planet.  I should just relax and enjoy it while I have it.  I try to, but I get to feeling impatient.   Ray Martinez is building us new back-porch steps.  So far, it is looking really nice.  They are doing a great job.  Connecting with more and more people on Facebook every day.  That is really fun.  Received Snap-Jump, my cordless jumping rope.  I like it alot.  Can't really use it inside a mobile home, so need to find a soft place, maybe the park.  I'll figure it out.  It is 5:53am and I can hear Sadie barking next door.  Probably morning walkers walking past the house.  haha

Tuesday, August 2, 2011

You're a success story.

Dad is well.  Dr. Waterhouse checked him out yesterday.   Any hernia surgery is too high a risk for dad at age 86.  He needs to just deal with this large hernia.  It's in the way, and it is uncomfortable, but it is there, and it is going to stay there forever.  So, this morning we are going back in just to take blood, and check that everything is still great.  Which, I already know that it is.  Just nice to make it official.  We'll take Luigi with us, and go to the dog park afterwards. All is good.

Cute picture of Debbie and Lenny from Facebook.

Be yourself. There's no one better!

This morning we are meeting Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel at the Wafflehouse in Dublin.  We miss here, because Auntie Isabel is now going to her eye doctor appointments in Fremont.  Today is the perfect day to meet here, because dad has his doctor appointment at 3:30pm this afternoon.  Usually, we are just finishing up our Family Day about then.  We are going to his primary doctor.  He was wants to schedule a second opinion on his hernia.  It keeps growing on the outside and is hard like a rock and makes him miserable.  We've had it checked a number of times.  Basically, they keep telling us there is nothing we can do.  There is one operation, but because he is 86, it is a very high-risk operation.  Probably, too high risk.  But, we'll see what the doctor has to say today.
