Newspaper - 5 Brothers in Uniform

Mothers' Day - SHE'S PROUD - Proudly, Mrs. Lizzie Magorno, right; aided by her daughter Dorothy, displays pictures of five sons in Uncle Sam's Services.

Fighting Family - Mrs. Lizzie Magorno, a widow living at 674 5th Street, Oakland, CA, has four sons in the army, one in the navy. The pictures she and daughter Dorothy hold are, left to right, Tony, 33, wounded in the North African campaign, who has been in a hospital in England; Al, 23, now somewhere in the Southwest Pacific, Ray, 19, the youngest son, a navy cook; Joseph, 21, stationed with army at Half moon Bay; Mike, 28, an army sergeant now on duty in the Aleutians. - Post Enquirer photo - 1943.

Willie died at 17 - caught in heavy machinery at work!  Uncle Pete was older and did not serve because by law, they had to make sure that at least one son was saved, and not killed in the war.  He continued to work and help support the family.  As I understand, All the sons sent money home to help the family financially.

Uncle Tony was all shot up and had a lot of shrapnel and spent a year or two recovering in a hospital in England - only to come safely home - and driving over railroad tracks - was hit and killed by a train!

Cousin, Gary Tabke, says that Uncle Al was awarded the Bronze Star!
There's no better friend than you.

You are someone's hero.

Today is Memorial Day.  It was so nice to have Brendon and Christian here this weekend to celebrate.  They are both stationed in Monterey at the Language school studying Pashtu, which is the Afganistan language.  They are in the Army.  They are both extremely polite, fun, very intelligent and a joy to be with.  And VERY good eaters.  lol  Wow!

Dad and I went to the BBQ this afternoon at the clubhouse.  We had an exceptionally good time.  Full-house turn-out, and everyone was really happy and talkative.  We spent four hours there and the time just flew by.  Happy to be back home and relaxed now.  Just a happy, perfect day.

Sunday, at La Imperial Mexican Restaurant.  Lindaellen (me), CoCo, Christian, Pauline, Linda and Brendon.  We had such a great time!  I begged dad to go with us.  When I left him with Brendon, while I went with CoCo to the airport to pick-up Pauline, dad grabbed Luigi and my car, and snuck out and went to the clubhouse.  It is the same family that has owned the restaurant for 40 years.  They are not as crazily outrageous as they were when they were young - They were Famous for being funny, crazy and Outrageous.  They are older now, but all of them are still Terrific!  They have the Biggest Burritos I have ever seen.  You should have seen Christian.  He couldn't believe how big the burritos are.  And everything is so Delicious.  This is definitely a Must Go-To Restaurant!  They told us that they are going to knock down some walls and put back in some of the old retro tables - like the old kitchen tables we used back in the fifties.

You are loving and lovable.

Brendon and Christian got home about 11:00pm.  They went to the A's/Orioles baseball game.  A's won 4/2.  Having so much fun with the guys.  Dad took a sleeping pill and is sleeping peacefully.  Aaaahhhhhh....  so much more relaxing.

CoCo is picking me up at 9:00am with her friend Linda, to pick Pauline up at the Oakland Airport from San Diego.  Then, Brendon, and Christian will meet us at La Imperial Mexican Restaurant in Hayward for great Mexican food.

Had a great time!  The boys just left our house at 5:00pm.

Barbara's beautiful mom finally passed last night.  This has been such a difficult time for Barbara and she has taken such good care of her mom.  Go in Peace.  Love.

www.FactoryToursUSA.com

Found this website, www.FactoryToursUSA.com.  Wanted to keep it handy.  I love going on sight-seeing and factory tours of all kinds.  In fact, who knows, I may search and see if there are any local ones I might try!

7:00am

Two more websites that have currently caught my attention are:

www.project-5050.com

and

www.controltv.com

It's always fun to find new ideas.  It seems new ideas are endless and I LOVE IT!

I don't think that I will ever follow the controlTV website, but I kind of like the idea of getting input and helpful ideas about going forward with projects and life.  I heard that the guy from last year really got productive from input and ideas from people following him online.  That feels empowering.  You get to choose what feels right for you.

My gosh - I think I just heard Luigi snore!  That is the first time.  Although, I have kept him up all night!  lol   I've been really energized.  Poor little guy.  He is exhausted.  haha

Why linger in the past when you can leap ahead?

Just spent one hour this morning online with Norton.  The analyst reports he fixed my virus, but immediately, when I got back on my computer - same problem.  Pictures and words flashing everywhere.  I am frustrated to say the least.  Don't want to deal with this right now.  Have to go to the bank and close my bank account and get a new card.  But, what is the point if I still have the virus.  Always going in circles.  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!

Calm, calm.  AAhhhhhhhhhhh  Deep breaths, deep breaths,  deep breaths.

Called my bank.  Definitely someone has already tried to use it three times.  The bank just closed my account for me.  Now, I will go to my bank this morning and get a new card.

Sat for a half hour waiting for an online agent from Yahoo! as it seems that is where I am having many of my problems with the flashing pictures.  After waiting online for half an hour, they wrote that there is no agent available to help me and to "try later".  Thanks Yahoo!

This is such a good example about why I never can understand why people go out and look for drama.  Just living a hum drum life, and life finds enough drama day-to-day.  I like the idea of going out looking for happiness and new adventures.  Never seems like enough time for that.  So, I am happy that there is lots of good things to look for in life.  Cuz, this crazy part is going to come along regardless.

My nephew Brendon, called tonight.  He is going to stop by with one of his Army buddies tomorrow.  Also, he just bought a 2008 Nissan Altima.  He's very excited.  I'm excited for him.

Everything will be all right!  Sure, you've got worries.  And sometimes you have doubts.  But your future is just ahead and it's going to be great!  The joys to come will outnumber any troubles, and those dreams you've been dreaming are ready to unfold - no doubt about it!

You're so much smarter than you give yourself credit for!  You're smart and funny and creative.  A master problem-solver and a natural spirit-booster.  A good listener, good friend and good person.  A true beauty, too, with a heart of gold and a smile like the sun.  Light up the world.  It needs you!

PCPitstop.com and Support.microsoft.com/fixit

These are two websites I want to remember, so that in the future I have a reference to get help for computer problems that come up.  This is probably my favorite part of having my very own blog, is that I have someplace to keep notes on things I want to remember.

Had fun at Uncle Joe's today.  Then we all went for lunch at In-n-Out Burgers.

Dad and I ran over to Lowe's and swapped light bulbs for the bathroom.  Bill tried to help us, but turns out we need new "breakers", which are apparently different for mobile homes.

Went to Lucky's and did some grocery shopping.

Yes, it appears I have another computer virus.  I waited to chat for one full hour with Norton last night, and gave up.  They must only have one person working there.  They started by saying I was number three in the queue.  By midnight, I said Forget About It.  Tonight, I received an email from my bank saying there is suspicious behavior on my account!  Here we go again!

You have so much happiness ahead!

Sure, life feels ho-hum sometimes.  And things might even take a dip now and then.  But not for long!  Whenever the going gets rough, remember that you are part of a world filled with beauty and joy, wonders and miracles.  A world where great things still happen all the time.  And they'll happen to you, too!

Today, dad goes to his monthly exercise lunch.  He always love this lunch because he is such a great, social guy.

Kokyo Sushi Buffet

Great Day!  PG&E turned off all of our electricity at 8:31am this morning.  Dad and I headed straight to the dining room table at the clubhouse.  Sure enough, everyone arrived shortly as their electricity was also being worked on.  Big Party!  Then someone mentioned how great the new Kokyo Sushi Buffet is.  So, right then, dad and I went to the Buffet.  Can't say enough great things about it.  Go!  You will have a good time.

Ran to Castro Valley and visited Rose at her Senior Assisted Living Home.  She is looking and doing great.  The remodel and the three additional bedrooms all are looking beautiful.

Stopped at the library and filled the car with gas.  Came home.  Took a quick nap.  Electricity came back on at 4:31pm.

Dad, Luigi and I went to Fremont to Barbara and Ed's house.  Poor Barbara's mom is on hospice.  Could pass as early as tonight.  It's just a matter of time.  Debbie and Krissy brought rigatoni from Rigatoni's.  We had a super supper.  Lots of laughs and fun.  Hope we were able to cheer Barbara up a little.  She is so terrific.

Got home at 8:30pm.  Called Auntie Isabel.  She is doing a little better.  She accidentally sprayed air freshener down her throat.  She is still coughing a good bit.  Bill and Sadie came over.  I ran down and had fun at the jacuzzi.  My new bathroom light is not working.  Have to go exchange it at Lowe's.  I am so tired, but my mind won't settle down.  What else is new.  So, I will read and get my mind off of this beautiful day.  It was so fun to be busy all day.  And everybody was happy.

Monday, May 23, 2011

Keep going. You're almost there!

Auntie Isabel has a 9:00am doctor appointment for her cough.  We'll figure out about family lunch after her appointment.

It has been windy for weeks now.  Tonight, gusts are blowing my window!  Luigi is a good cuddle partner during these high winds.

They were going to take Auntie Isabel to emergency or the doctor, but then they gave her Nyquil and it seemed to help her cough.  No Family Day Today!  Hope she gets better!

Bridesmaids

Skipper and Cheri called us at 8:30am this morning from Amarillo, Texas.  They are on their way to Fort Worth, Texas to visit Cheri's family and then on to Lubbock for Kathlyn's high school graduation on the 28th.  Sounded like they were having lots of fun.

Dad and I went to the movies this morning and saw Bridesmaids.  Cute little comedy.  Then we did some quick shopping at Walmart.  Watched David Toms win the golf game.  Bill and Sadie came over and we watched the Giants win over the A's in extra innings.  Great finish!

Tonight I made cheese burgers with grass-fed hamburger and lots of purple onions and mushrooms, sauteed in butter.  Delicious!  Then, I had the best time at the jacuzzi.  Sort of a perfect, simple, day.  This is as exciting as it gets these days.  The main thing is I need to remember to appreciate this simplicity.  Luigi is cuddled up next to me.  Very sweet.

Happiness can happen at any time.

Luigi and I are enjoying this quiet time.   Reading blogs.  Reading books.  Reading groups.  Enjoying the dark.  Enjoying the quiet.

Do yourself a favor, too!

Let's be honest.  I'm a wimp!  These allergies have taken over my life.  I am miserable.  I have like a fever blister in my mouth for a week that is still there.  My eyes are scratchy and miserable.  I take the allergy tabs, rinse my mouth with warm salt water, wash my eyes with eye wash - and my allergies keep winning.  I wonder how long allergy season is.  I may just start going to the pharmacy and buying a new allergy tab each day until I find the one that works best for me.  Now a days, many are behind the counter with the pharmacist and you have to know what to ask for.  But, how do I know what to ask for, if I don't know what they have????

Digger's Diner

The family is going to try a new hamburger restaurant for lunch today, Digger's Diner.  It was supposedly voted the best hamburger's in Brentwood.  Sounds kind of interesting and it's right here in Hayward on Winton.  I've been pretty quiet for a few days fighting allergies.  Honestly, which is worse - the allergies or the medicines to help relieve it.  They just knock me out.  I am not a good medicine taker.  Better when I'm just nice and healthy!

Coolaroo

Ordered a Coolaroo shade from Amazon.com this morning for my bedroom window.  So far the window has an outside black shade; reflectix against the window, heavy cool shades (forget what they are called) - and now adding coolaroo.  This room turns into a furnace and I just keep trying to find whatever will help cool it in summer.  I have a ceiling fan and two stand-alone fans, and often I still can't stay in here.  Since this is now my official sanctuary - I have blacked out the whole room and covered all the lights from my electronics, I really want to be able to use this room all summer.  If I leave this room Mr. Critical drives me straight out of my skin.  I need this room for my survival.

Life gets better and better when you let it.

These allergies are attacking me.  My super-scratchy eye - taking all the eye drops, nose sprays and allergy tablets.  Leaves me feeling woozy - and I still have the scratchy eye.  Wow!  I've been blessed for a long time without allergy symptoms, so this is  a drag.  Maybe I should go buy some eye-wash.  That has helped in the past.

Monday, May 16, 2011

You do something right every single day.

Dad and I are meeting Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel at Denny's in Pleasanton for lunch today.  Allergy season is definitely in bloom.  Eye drops.  Allergy tablets.  4-way nasal spray.  Thankfully, they are helping.  But, I do feel a tad "medicine head".

You're wonderful. Celebrate yourself!

It is midnight and the rain falling sounds so wonderful.  It is so peaceful to have quiet all around and the cozy rain sounds enveloping you.  Very relaxing and exhilarating at the same time.

Later this morning, dad and I are going to the movies and see Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family.

I am having mixed feelings tonight because I did not see one RV that I really liked today.  The selection was pretty slim pickings.  It is much more fun, when you see lots of models that you would be excited to own.  Guess this is a good time to enjoy the beautiful home that we have right here.  Sometimes things are so good, that you aren't even paying attention.  Wake Up, Linda and Smell the Roses.  mmmmm...  they smell beautiful.  lol  I am too weird even for me.  That's okay.  I like weird.  Smile.

There's a dream-come-true in your future.

Went to Walmart this morning and picked up DVD-RW because my new laptop says that I have to make my own back-up - before my laptops always came "With" the back-up disc.  Bought a bottle of the spice "Sage", because I read that one whiff and it helps clear your head if you are having a foggy head in the morning.  A young girl and her dad were selling Tamales in the parking lot, so I bought four for five dollars.  They are really big and very delicious.

Went to the RV Show at the Fairgrounds.  It's not the really big show.  It was okay, but they didn't have Class B's.  Mostly they had all the gigantic Class A's.  There sure is no storage provided.  Seems like so much wasted space.  Guess after you get one, you have to re-customize it somehow to get more storage.

We got a post card from Bill and Carol from Costa Rica today!  Good going post office!

Bill and Sadie came over and Luigi and Sadie are still wildly making up for lost time.  Lots of fun.
Tools and Manage Add-Ons Menu Bar

You cannot believe how many times I have deleted my menu bar on my other laptops and now this one.  So I MUST make note on my blog, with Internet Explorer 9 - all I have to do is go to the top of the computer page in IE9 - Right Click - and Select "Menu Bar".  After hours of going in circles, I want to keep this information in front of me. Now, I again have the Menu Bar, which includes File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help.

Good thing I happened on to the Automobile Section of the newspaper yesterday.  Alameda County Fairgrounds is having another RV show going on right now!  I'm heading straight over there this morning.  All I ever think about is getting a small class B or C RV and going out exploring.  This sitting home, wasting my life feels like such a desperate situation, but I feel I could never forgive myself if I abandon my dad.  His life for mine?  I just know in my heart this is the right thing for me to do - but it just ain't always......   awwwww - you know!

One step is all it takes to get started.

Blogger has been down for 20 1/2 hours.  Went grocery shopping this morning.  Spent way too much!  I read that the healthiest wine for you is Chianti Classico.  Now, the funny thing is, I really, very seldom drink, am definitely not a wine drinker, but.......  I just HAD to buy a bottle and try it.  I have been thinking about it for months.  Today, I bought it.  I'll bet I take one sip and think, "Hey, this tastes like wine".  And throw out the bottle.  I really don't know why I do these things, but I just HAVE to try it!

Have been reading about eating Paleo, which is grass-fed, free-range lean meats, fresh vegetables and fruit.  Not processed foods, etc. etc.  I buy the meat, I buy the vegetables...... and then impulsively buy Hot Buffalo Wings flavored pretzels and a Twinkie!  I am a mess.  Hey, why rush into things, right!?  Sheesh, don't look at me... I'm embarassed.  lol

Today I received the Update Pack for The Journey to Wild Divine.  I have all of the discs and the hardware.  Haven't used them in forever, but it is time to get back to learning how to relax again.  Tired of feeling in knots all the time.

Did you remember that today is Friday the 13th!  For me, this is Always a Lucky and Fun Day!  We especially had fun with Luigi and Sadie.  These two ran and played HARD for over an hour.  We couldn't stop laughing, they were having so much fun.  I think they really missed each other.

There's no such thing as a silly dream.

Last night I was wide awake  all night long, and so giddy with happiness.  I haven't been that happy in I don't know how long.  I was laughing (I'm all alone with Luigi now remember) all night long.  Getting all kinds of little projects completed.  I never did figure out why I was so completely happy, but it was terrific!

After dad left for exercise class, I got several more little projects completed and then Luigi and I took off and got more little projects completed.  I know, I know.  It seems like nothing, but everything just felt so joyful.  This afternoon Bev Morgan and Cookie came by for a play date with Luigi.  Cookie had just gone to the groomers and looked so cute.  Cookie's groomer at PetSmart Stephan - is now officially Sofie.  Another ecstatically happy person today.

Tonight, we are kicking back, relaxing.  Reading blogs, magazines and books.  Getting the house cleaned up a bit for the cleaning ladies in the morning.  Honestly, it helps knowing they are coming.  Things tend to get stacked up and now they get put away.  Pretty good system!

People like you make the world a better place!

Today dad goes to physical therapy.  We  can't take Luigi with us because we are going to Uncle Joe's.  Debbie gave Uncle Joe four large bags filled with cassettes and things from Auntie Dorothy.  We are going to help him go through everything.  Also, I'll bring the list that Jim gave us and see if they can help a bit with the family geneology.  I don't think we are going to get too much help.  We tried getting information from dad and Uncle Joe last year, and they really never cared enough to learn anything.  Auntie Mary seemed to know some, but, it's a bit late now.  But, we'll fill in what bits we can.

I'm feeling antsy.  Not good.  Need to stay very calm.  It's hard to explain.  My life is so much on hold.  Really have no room for my own life.  It I don't stay very still, things get very difficult.  It is hard to stay so closed off, but it really is 100% necessary.  It's important for me to find my own calm.  I miss not having a life.  A life that fills some of my own needs.  It's really everything for dad.  You know, even the best of times can be difficult.  I'm just trying to reach a balance.

6:00PM
I tried on all twenty of the tops from Auntie Dorothy.  None of them fit me.  I wear an odd size - XL Petite.  Yes, I am fat, but I am still small boned with small shoulders and short arms.  I wonder when I am going to take this losing weight seriously.  It is important.  Sure, don't want to lose and gain though.  Would like to find some natural way so I can just go back to being normal size.

Nothing of the tapes or cassettes were wanted either by the family.  So, we piled up bags and bags and took "Everything" to the Salvation Army.  Hopefully, everything will get a good home.

Also, no one was interested in the geneology.  Kinda suspected that.  That's okay.  Let's just enjoy today.

Monday, May 9, 2011

Let hope pave your way to success.

Dad is getting his stitches removed today.  The lab reports came in and everything is benign.  That is such great news.

Auntie Isabel has her monthly eye appointment this morning where she gets x-rays and another injection in her eye for her wet macular degeneration.  I think she has had over 30 injections already.  Not a fun visit, but it is keeping her with some eyesight in the one eye.  Then we are all going to meet for lunch at the Waffle House in Dublin.

Debbie and Deaunn gave me about twenty of Auntie Dorothy's tops Saturday at our Family lunch.  Guess I will try one on and see if it fits.  She had several closets full of nice clothes, but the last couple of years she always wore the same thing.  These tops are like new.  I'm feeling a little strange about it though, so I'm going to take it slow.

7:00pm
Nice day.  Perfect mild weather.  Lots of fun with the family.  Can't believe that 17 days has flown by so fast.  Bill and Carol are returning from their Panama Canal cruise tomorrow morning.  We had a whole list of things written down to keep us busy while there were gone - and we never got around to one thing on that list.  Somehow, we just stayed busy all the time.  We don't do much, but we seem to enjoy what we're doing!

The little things you do mean a lot!

This morning, dad and I are going to the movies and see "There Be Dragons".  I think it is based on true events.
Note:  Movie was okay.  I just prefer more light-hearted movies.

I am trying to set up Pocket Queries on my computer to send to my new Magellan eXplorist GC GPS, to go geocaching.  Everything is a struggle.  Step by step.  Sludge.  I don't ever know how to do anything.  But - that's okay.  Because I do take those baby steps, and a little sludge never hurt anyone.  But, honestly, I do believe it takes me weeks to do something, that someone else does in minutes.  One good thing about that - I am never bored - I Always Have Something New To Do!

We went to Walmart after the movies.  Easy parking space.  No line to stand in.  Best Sunday shopping experience in a long time.  Got take-out Chinese food from Yummies.  They are all remodeled.  Very nice.  Lots of waterfalls with the sounds of water.  Everyone was really upbeat.  Another really nice day.  Yep, Luigi and I are cuddling again.  It's pretty cold and windy again today.  Think I'll run down to the jacuzzi and get warm!

TheOfficialProfileOf.com

Found this website to follow your favorite actor, singer, comedian or athlete on Facebook.com or Twitter.com.  If you don't know which account is the real McCoy and which is a phony, this website lists only celebrity accounts that have been verified!

Today is our big Family Lunch at Don Jose's Mexican Restaurant.  Looks like it's going to be a pretty good turnout.

7:00pm

Did not take any pictures today.  We had a great time!  I want to remember who was at our lunch today.

Ray, Linda, Lisa, Kenny, Debbie, Lenny, Jim, Carlotta, Samantha, Aaron, Isabel, Joe, Deaunn and Tony.  Bobby ran in for about 5 minutes to say Hi! to everyone.

Jim is working on the family geneology and sent me home with a copy to help fill in as much as possible.  Should be fun.  Tammie had done quite a bit of our geneology, so think I'll check with her also.  Our next lunch is scheduled for July 2nd at Fuddruckers.

We got home just in time and watched the horses run the Kentucky Derby.  Great timing.

Luigi is cuddled up beside me.  Perfect Day!

You know you can do it!

Remember, the reason I ran and bought this computer, is because my other laptop was making a clunking sound.  At that time, the only information I could find, is it might be the fan motor going out.  Well, this laptop is making the same sound!  Right now, I "think" I have narrowed it down to my printer USB port or cord or something.  I still want to keep this new laptop.  Is that wrong?  My other laptop I bought in December 2007, so it is starting to get a bit older.  It's about 3 1/2 years old.  Not ancient, but I hate to think about computer problems.  So "maybe" a new printer cord, or a new printer is needed.  I wish there was a way to find out for sure before I start buying more stuff.  This gets so darn expensive.  Meanwhile, I am enjoying my new laptop.  It really doesn't seem to be that different - but I do like it!

3:00pm

This morning, I jumped up, and ran to Office Max and bought a new Brothers Printer.  lol joke is on me.  It did NOT come with the printer cable.  Good news is that the printer was on sale for $69 and I saved $30!  I bought the printer cable at Radio Shack for.........  you guessed it - $30!  It's all good though.   I have had the printer head go out on my printers in the past, so I am happy to have a nice fresh printer.  I took by old Brothers printer to the Salvation Army this morning.  My extra printer cartridges should also work with this new printer.  So far, so good.  No Clunking Sound.  Hopefully, problem solved.

New Gateway Computer

Last night, about 7:30pm, UPS delivered my new Gateway Laptop from HSN.  Have been trying to get it set up and used to it.  I didn't realize it had the number keys - which I NEVER use.  Also, so far, my Navigation Keys - Home, Page Up, End, etc.  are not working correctly.  So, I'll have to figure it out.

Also, received my new battery for my old Casio camera.  Seems to be doing the trick!

Today, the Family had lunch at La Imperial Mexican Restaurant on "C" Street in Hayward.  Same famly-run restaurant for 40 years.  We love it.  Of course, poor Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel hated it.  Story of our lives!  lol

Pretty hot day, but good breeze.  I'm kinda too hot to think right now though.  Time for another break - ha ha (aka - breaks ARE my Life!)  :-)

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!  I just discovered I can use navigation keys on the "Numbers" pad and I LOVE it!

You don't always have to prove yourself. Everyone knows you're a great person!

Another very, very simple day.  Waiting for my new computer to arrive.  ETA is this Thursday!  Dad and I went shopping this morning to CVS and Walmart.  Got some good shopping completed.  Came home.  I made a box of Ghiradelli Double Chocolate Brownies.  Warm and Delicious!  We watched some taped shows - Judge Judy, Streets of San Francisco, and Oprah.  Oprah's down to her last 17 shows.  I probably watched about 25 shows in 25 years.  This year I think I've already watched about 25 shows.

It may be my imagination.  Dad is healthy, but he does seem to be struggling more every day.  Not sure exactly what that means, but it is noticeable.  Thankfully, he keeps going, but it is a little difficult to watch.  As anyone who takes care of their older parents, it is so full of emotions.  I don't really like to talk about it, but it is all-consuming.

Add a little joy to your day and everyone else's: Smile!

What a fun day.  We went to Costco with Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel and then we all went and had a late breakfast at Denny's.  Sounds simple right?  We usually spend a good two to two-and-a-half hours - or more, just sitting laughing and talking.  And sure enough, one of the other diners had to stand up and announce to the "room" how much everyone was enjoying the sound of our laughter.  Sure enough, we looked up, and at every table the people looked at us with big smiles on their faces!  It's hard for me to put into words, how much fun we always have.  This is not the first time this has happened.  These are the moments and hours I want to cherish FOREVER!

Problems are always short-term.

Water for Elephants was too violent for me.  If we had rented the DVD, for sure, I would never have watched it.  It was a good movie, but I suffered watching it too much.  I'm a total pansy.  I like HAPPY!!!!!

After the movie, dad and I went over to Niles.  They had live music and singing in the park.  We went through the train museum, and then across the street to the Silent Movie Museum.  We came home and had oolio oolio.  It was Declicious!  I love the way the weather has warmed up.  Yep, a very nice Sunday.
